Frequently asked questions
Here are some of the most common questions we receive about our adoption process at Blue Nest Rescue (BNDR). We hope this information helps you understand our procedures and what you can expect when adopting from us.
What is the first step to adopting a dog from Blue Nest Rescue?
The very first thing to do is to check the dog's bio on our website (available-puppies or available-adult-dogs). See if you think you'll be a good fit for the dog. The second step is to fill out an adoption application. The third step is either a home visit or a virtual home visit, and then a meet and greet with the dog.
What kind of home is the best fit for a Blue Nest Rescue dog?
There aren't really any specific things we look for, just a home where the dog will fit in well.
What kind of vaccinations do you provide?
They are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. On a deworming, micro chipped and spayed/neutered by six months of age
What happens after I submit my adoption application?
It typically takes around 1 to 2 days to process. You should expect to be contacted to schedule a home visit, be asked to provide pictures of your home, or participate in a virtual home visit.
